Ailton Krenak (1953) é liderança indígena, filósofo, escritor, ativista do movimento socioambiental e de defesa dos direitos indígenas, além de escritor e roteirista. Organizou a Aliança dos Povos da Floresta, que reúne comunidades ribeirinhas e indígenas na Amazônia, além de ser comendador da Ordem de Mérito Cultural da Presidência da República.

Krenak é professor doutor Honoris Causa pela Universidade Federal de Juiz de Fora (MG) e foi eleito intelectual do ano em 2020 pelo Juca Pato, premiação entregue pela União Brasileira de Escritores.

Ailton Krenak é autor dos livros O Lugar Onde a Terra Descansa (2000), Ideias para Adiar o Fim do Mundo (2019) e A Vida Não é Útil (2020).

Ailton Krenak (1953) is an indigenous leader, philosopher, writer, activist in the socio-environmental movement and in defense of indigenous rights, as well as a writer and screenwriter. He organized the Alliance of the Peoples of the Forest, which brings together riverine and indigenous communities in the Amazon, and is a commander of the Order of Cultural Merit from the Republic Presidency.
Krenak has been named Doctor Honoris Causa in the Federal University of Juiz de Fora (MG) and was elected intellectual of the year in 2020 by the Juca Pato, an award given by the Brazilian Writer's Union.
Ailton Krenak is the author of the books O Lugar Onde a Terra Descansa (2000), Ideias para Adiar o Fim do Mundo (2019), and A Vida Não é Útil (2020).
