I am an Arts & nonprofit manager with 18 years experience. My passion for advancing nonprofit/arts management in Brazil leverages extensive experience both in Brazil, the US and the UK, at local and international organizations. I have worked with a variety of arts organizations to enhance their sustainability and public recognition, pioneering in Brazil the start up of “Development” departments (as found in UK/US) in arts institutions. I have developed specific knowledge and passion for the Museums sector. I have provided expertise on fundraising, marketing and Communications to nonprofits – specially on individual giving, corporate sponsorship and organizational change.I am completely passionate about enhancing the performance of nonprofit/arts organizations seeking to transform this world into a better place.
I have worked internally in 3 museums (Guggenheim, Childrens Museum Boston, Museu da Caixa Cultural), 1 Bienal (Bienal dos 500 Anos) and 2 Nonprofit Organizations (Actionaid and British Council). I also worked as a consultant to 26 other organizations and companies. I am now member of the board in three arts organizations and I have teached in three Arts management graduate courses. I am also very much interested in enhancing the dialogue between the multiple areas of expertise within the nonprofit sector supporting the exchange between the arts organizations and the NGOs in social causes (human rights, health, children, climate change, poverty, etc, ).
