Exhibition Nina Yuen & Asco

Last Friday, the exhibitions Nina Yuen and Asco opened in de Appel arts centre, which will be on view until the 13th of April.

On the ground floor, photos and videos unfold the guerilla performances in public space of the Mexican-American artists collective Asco, active in the 1970s. One floor above, Nina Yuen (USA, 1981) presents a series of new performative works in which autobiography and world history ‘contaminate’ each other. The video productions Hermione, Lea and Raymond are having their international premiere in de Appel arts centre, and Yuen is also showing drawings and photos related to them here for the first time.

On several Sunday's during these exhibitions, tours will be organized. The next regular guided tour will be on the 9th of March and the next family guide tour on the 23rd of February.
