As you may know the MCH Group, the Swiss-based company behind the Art Basel fair canceld this year's Art Basel Hong Kong (March 19 - 21, 2020) because of the severity of the outbreak and spread of the coronavirus.
The organizers wrote in their statement: "several factors contributed to its decision not to continue with the event—including “logistical challenges” and the “escalating difficulties complicating international travel”—but the primary reason was its concern for the health and safety of everyone who would be working at and attending the fair."
Our thoughts go out to all those who have been affected by the virus and to their families. We are looking forward to the next issue of Art Basel Hong Kong in March 2021.
