ARTMargins announces the launch of its latest issue (5:1, February 2016), featuring texts by Jessica Gershultz on the need for a critical history of fiber art in the 20th century; Camila Maroja on Cildo Meireles's refusal to describe Red Shift, his 1984 installation, as conceptual, political art; and Elizabeth Miller on the public discourse surrounding the fine arts in Egypt during the first half of the 20th century. The artist project is by Brook Andrew. The issue concludes with first translations, in English, of articles on art by Bülent Ecevit (with translation and introduction by Sarah-Neel Smith).
