David Gange

David Gange é professor titular de história moderna na Universidade de Birmingham. Completou seu doutorado na Trinity College de Cambridge (2007). Membro da primeira Intercontinental Academia.

Gange foi pesquisador do século XIX no programa de Pós Doutorado em um projeto financiado pela Leverhume Fellowship na Universidade de Cambridge entitulado "Past versus Present: Abandoning the Past in an Age of Progress".

Pesquisou as costas, oceanos e as comunidades e espécies que os ocupam, num trabalho que envolve a narrativa em primeira pessoa a partir de jornadas de caiaque de longa distância, e que inclui os livros The Frayed Atlantic Edge: a Historian's Journey from Shetland to the Channel (Harper Collins, 2019), e artigos como 'Time, Space & Islands', Past & Present (Maio de 2019).

David Gange is a senior lecturer in modern history at the University of Birmingham. He completed his PhD at Trinity College Cambridge (2007) and is a member of the first Intercontinental Academy.
Gange was a 19th century researcher in the Post Doctoral program on a Leverhume Fellowship funded project at Cambridge University entitled "Past versus Present: Abandoning the Past in an Age of Progress".
He has researched coasts, oceans, and the communities and species that occupy them, in work that involves first-person narrative from long-distance kayaking journeys, and includes the books The Frayed Atlantic Edge: a Historian's Journey from Shetland to the Channel (Harper Collins, 2019), and articles such as 'Time, Space & Islands', Past & Present (May 2019)
