International roundtable discusses the cultural policy for museums in São Paulo with reference to the book Reflexive Overview:  11 years of reflections and discussions The State of São Paulo Annual Museum Conference


Fórum Permanente (FP) in partnership with the State System of Museums of São Paulo (SISEM-SP), the Cultural Association of Support to the Museum Casa de Portinari (ACAM-Portinari) and the Institute of Advanced Studies of the University of São Paulo (IEA-USP) invite to the third event around the launch of  the book Reflexive Overview: 11 years of reflections and discussions The State of São Paulo Annual Museum Conference.

The international round table will count with the participation of Muthoni Thang'Wa (Kenya), Ana Rosas Mantecón (Mexico) and Clara Frayão Camacho (Portugal), all specialists in museology in their respective countries. The table will also count on the mediation of Renata Vieira da Motta, president of the International Council of Museums Brazil (ICOM-Brazil) and Martin Grossmann, professor at USP (University of São Paulo) and culturator of the Fórum Permanente.

The virtual meeting will take place on November 30, starting at 10 a.m. on IEA's Youtube channel and on the Forum Permanente platform, and aims to bring a critical look at these specialists, based on their professional experiences, about São Paulo's museum policy and the reality of museums in Brazil, and to insert them in a plural international context.
